Mr. Victor Stone


Victor Stone is a Victim's Attorney and Technical Expert at the Maryland Crime Victims Resource Center, Inc., where he represents crime victims at no cost to the victims at all levels of the Maryland court system.  Previously, Mr. Stone spent four decades in the Criminal Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, where he handled criminal appeals in every federal circuit court and in the U.S. Supreme Court, and was the Division's Victims' Rights and Federal Witness Security Program legal advisor.  He also was Chief Counsel to the FBI's Foreign Terrorist Task Force, a United States Immigration Judge, a Special US Parole Commissioner, General Counsel to the DC Corrections Trustee, and an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Oregon and the District of Columbia.  Mr. Stone worked on Department of Justice committees that resulted in the enactment of the Crime Victims' Rights Act and various revisions to the Attorney General's Guidelines on Victim and Witness Assistance.  He also served in the 200th Military Intelligence Unit, US Army Reserve, at Boston Army Base.  After graduating from Harvard Law School, he clerked on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
